I discover here, in Le Castellet, a rare place, almost outside of time. From the moment I arrive, I sense that this property does not reveal itself immediately. it must be earned, gradually unfolding along the path lined with 70 productive olive trees that leads me to it.<\/p>\n

The history of the place strikes me at once. A former mill dating back to the late 17th century, the authentic Proven\u00e7al farmhouse has evolved over generations into what is now a true family home, with that unmistakable, timeworn charm that cannot be recreated.<\/p>\n

Set among the vines, I enjoy one hectare under the Bandol AOC, leased to the Domaine de l\u2019Olivettes. Simply knowing that the vines are in production, and receiving around a hundred bottles each year, adds a distinctly hedonistic dimension to the acquisition.<\/p>\n

The olive trees tell another story. Depending on the year, they yield up to 50 litres of olive oil\u2014a production that reinforces this sense of grounding, rhythm, and connection to the land, with half of it allocated to me annually under the lease agreement.<\/p>\n

The house is arranged over two levels, with the living areas opening onto the garden level and the bedrooms upstairs. It has been consistently maintained, roof, fa\u00e7ades, replacement of doors and windows with wooden frames, conversion from oil heating to a heat pump, and more. The bathrooms and kitchen would benefit from being updated to suit one\u2019s personal taste.<\/p>\n

A Proven\u00e7al farmhouse never stands alone. It was originally the residence of the land\u2019s owner-operator. As such, the farm building, even older than the main house, completes this charming ensemble. For added comfort, the current owner connected the two buildings, just a few metres apart, at the end of the last century. Altogether, the property now offers around a dozen rooms, including 6 to 7 bedrooms and a workshop.<\/p>\n

I can easily picture myself here: welcoming family and friends, allowing everyone to find their place, enjoying each space and every perspective.<\/p>\n

This is not a standardized property. It is a place to live, rich in history, deeply rooted in Provence, yet still within easy reach of the coastline.<\/p>\n
